es una instalación que dibuja la línea fronteriza México-Estados Unidos con un filamento metálico incandescente, llamado resistencia calefactora.&lt;br /&gt;La obra se presenta en el espacio físico como un límite real, desbordado de tensión e incandescencia, que establece una relación metafórica con la realidad socio-política que se vive en ambos lados de la frontera, representándola como un borde de alta peligrosidad, así como de ruptura y distorsión de las relaciones entre dos naciones vecinas.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;---- &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;Resistance&lt;/span&gt; is a representation of the United States-Mexico border executed with a metal incandescent filament called resistance heating.  The resistance used in the work establishes a metaphorical relationship to the socio-political reality that is lived on both sides of the border, by representing it as an overwhelming line filled with tension and incandescence.  Resistance heating demands and consumes large amounts of energy from the electrical grid that feeds it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The work reflects the border as a dangerous edge, as well as the rupture and distortion of relations between two neighboring nations.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;i&gt;Resistance&lt;/i&gt; has been exhibited in &lt;i&gt;Distorsions: Contemporary Media Art from Mexico&lt;/i&gt;, an exhibition curated by Karla Jasso in the Holman Hall Art Gallery, University of New Jersey. forman parte de un proyecto que examina la relación del uso de energéticos de origen fósil en la conformación del espacio urbano, a partir de la presencia en el entorno, de los residuos de combustión que permanecen como una memoria dispersa de la actividad urbana. &lt;br /&gt;El proyecto se basa en la construcción de una serie de envoltorios de plástico con diferentes formas y capacidades.  Estos envoltorios funcionan como contenedores del residuo gaseoso arrojado por el escape de  diversos vehículos de combustión interna encendidos. La obra señala la relación estrecha y recíproca de estas máquinas y la ciudad, a partir de su potencial para visibilizar los contaminantes, que ocupan un lugar en el espacio.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;----&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Exhaust and Obstruction with two-stroke engine are part of a project intended to examine the relationship of using energetics of fossil origin to conform urban space from the presence of combustion residuals in the environment, and which are left as a disperse memory of the urban activity. &lt;br /&gt;The project is based on a variety of plastic wrappings with various forms and capacities. Such wraps act as containers of gaseous residuals expelled through the exhaust of several internal combustion vehicles that are running. Estos páneles pueden reproducir con destellos luminosos las formas de todos los cuerpos enfrentados al mismo. Se trata de un juego de inversión de la sombra. La sombra como una proyección luminosa, contraria a la ausencia de luz.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;i&gt;Homo Orbital&lt;/i&gt; es una clase de espejo que crea una representación humana y señala uno de los fenómenos más arcaicos de contemplación. La esencia de la obra, radica en la posibilidad de la representación en el auge de la electrónica, una sofisticada manera de manipular tecnológicamente el fuego.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;i&gt;Homo Orbital&lt;/i&gt; es un proyecto expandible, que se integra al espacio que lo contiene. Dialoga con el movimiento, con el espacio de tránsito, y recrea la experiencia del espejo sombra, mediante energía luminosa, como evidencia y metáfora de nosotros mismos.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-----&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is a serie of site specific interventions, shaped by a variable number of electronic panels, which are sensitive to the human presence. These panels can be organized in multiple ways in space. Homo Orbital is a kind of electronic mirror that creates a human representation and point out one of the most archaic phenomena of contemplation.. Un sensor de presencia activa la pieza cuando el público ingresa a la sala. El dispositivo se desplaza a una velocidad aproximada de 15 km/hr.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;Circuito Interior&lt;/span&gt; plantea -en el interior de un recinto-, la experiencia del desplazamiento sónico que confirgura el paisaje urbano.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-----&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Circuito Interior is a work formed by a stainless steel track over the which it moves a motor with a pair of car horns. A presence sensor activates the piece when the audience enters the space. La fuerza mecánica del dispositivo alude a las fuerzas que impulsan la urbanización planetaria de nuestros días. La obra señala el desperdicio y la extracción como soportes estructurales de la civilización contemporánea. Como una línea de tiempo, Cenit encuentra su final en el momento de la liberación y el agotamiento del hidrocarburo. Un sensor de presencia activa una electroválvula que deja pasar aire por un conducto, inflando lentamente el neumático. Los límites los da la resistencia del material y la dimensión física del espacio de exhibición. &lt;br /&gt;El neumático obstruye el sitio y provoca niveles de tensión progresiva en los visitantes. La explosión final de la llanta se produce cuando ésta sobrepasa su capacidad.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-----&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Neumatico is a site-specific project developed with a tractor tyre wheel, air pressure, a motion detector device and the physical dimensions of the space.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The project is a sound action related with the dimensions of the space. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The tyre wheel is showed in the space without air using an electronic device to activate an air pressure system to inflate the tyre slowly. The limits are the resistance of the material and the physical dimensions of the exhibition space. The inflation process obstructs the space and generates a level of psychological tension for the visitors. La idea es  caminar tomando el lugar de un automóvil, aprovechando congestiones de tráfico en las ciudades. &lt;br /&gt;Para realizar la acción se elaboró un kit portable con una variedad de 7 cláxones provenientes de distintos vehículos automotores. Un mando de control en el brazo, permite activar cada uno de los dispositivos.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Esta acción ha sido ejecutada en la Ciudad de México y en Porto Alegre, Brasil, en el marco de la 7a. Bienal del Mercosur 2009.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-----&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;i&gt;Ocupación&lt;/i&gt; is an action arising from the occupation of space for vehicular traffic, using the body, understood as a carrier and noise generator. The main idea is to walk instead of taking a car, taking into advantage of traffic congestion in cities.&lt;br /&gt;To perform the action was developed a portable kit with a choice of 7 different car horns. intentando explorar, por un lado, la capacidad humana de generar sistemas de trabajo y entendimiento bajo circunstancias delimitadas y por el otro señalando metafóricamente el funcionamiento real de los aparatos del estado.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-----&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On November 8 of 2006, ten medical assistants from the Medical Unit number 2 of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) in Mexico City went through their regular work shifts with a slight alteration in their uniform. These uniforms had been sewn together to become one large outfit that kept completely joined all the assistants. La obra surge a partir de una asociación de la ciudad con el concepto original de jardín, una parte de naturaleza racionalizada, modificada y controlada. El estanque en los jardines preserva el ciclo vital y el funcionamiento del ecosistema. El agua del estanque es al jardín lo que los petroquímicos son a la ciudad.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-----&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A circular metal tank is filled with used car oil and permeates the space with its smell. The handle of a car door appears in its glossy black surface. The work stems from the association of the city with the original concept of garden, which is a part of nature streamlined, modified and controlled.
